Grants for Dyddiol Cyf.
It was announced this week that Dyddiol Cyf. has been offered a Regional Selective Assistance grant by the Welsh Assembly Government. This is a start-up grant towards the creation of jobs on the newspaper, Y BYD.
Further good news followed as a consequence of the RSA grant offer, with Powys County Council offering financial assistance to Dyddiol Cyf. It looks likely then that Y BYD's main office will be in the Dyfi Eco Park in Machynlleth.
As a result of the delay in hearing about RSA, the paper will not be launched in the spring as intended. The next few months will see a process of recruitment, training and system installation.
