Dyddiol Cyf yn dangos yr ewyllys i barhau
Yn dilyn Cyfarfod Cyffredinol Blynyddol y cwmni yn Aberystwyth heddiw, cyhoeddwyd y bydd Dyddiol Cyf yn dal yn gwmni papur newydd aml-gyfryngol ymgyrchol, a phan fydd modd, yn weithredol. Cynhaliwyd pleidlais bost yn ogystal â phleidlais yn y cyfarfod ei hun, fel bod pob cyfranddalydd â chyfle i fwrw pleidlais. Bwriwyd 59% o'r holl bleidleisiau oedd yn bosibl.
Yr oedd tri dewis o flaen y cyfranddalwyr, ac fe fwriwyd dros 85 y cant o'r pleidleisiau dros Ddewis 3, a'r gweddill yn rhannu rhwng Dewis 1 a 2.
"Cael canlyniad pendant fel hyn oedd y peth pwysicaf un" meddai Cadeirydd y Cwmni, Ned Thomas. "Byddwn yn awr yn ysgrifennu at ein holl gyfranddalwyr, yn ail-sefydlu'r swyddfa a'r wefan, ac yn ail-gysylltu â'n Clwb Cefnogwyr. Mae'n arwydd o'r gefnogaeth gadarn sydd i ddyfodol newyddiaduraeth safonol yn Gymraeg."

Dyddiol Cyf., the company originally set up to publish a daily newspaper in Welsh, is to remain active, campaigning and preparing to publish a multi-platform newspaper when this becomes possible. The decision was taken at the company's Annual General Meeting in Aberystwyth today, following a postal vote organized so as to ensure that every one of the shareholders had the opportunity to vote. 59% of all the possible votes were cast.
Shareholders faced a choice of three courses of action. Over 85 per cent of the votes cast were in favour of option 3, the remaining votes being shared between options 1 and 2.
"The most important thing of all was to get a clear and unambiguous result like this" said Ned Thomas, Chair of Dyddiol Cyf. "We shall now be writing to all our shareholders, re-establishing our office and website and renewing contact with our Supporters' Club. The result is evidence of the strong support that exists for quality journalism in Welsh."
